The Woodhaven® Moisture Meter takes the guesswork out of firewood seasoning. Push the 4 prongs into the split face of your firewood for an instant moisture reading — so you always know when your wood is ready to burn cleanly and efficiently. Properly seasoned wood (10%–15% moisture) produces more heat and significantly less creosote buildup in your chimney. Readings between 15%–20% are acceptable; anything above that and your wood needs more time.
Works on wood and other materials including bamboo, cardboard, paper, tobacco, and cotton. Includes a 9V battery and carrying case.
