    American Quality!

There are bunch of foreign-made pretenders floating around, but if you value American-made quality, then you should absolutely go for a Woodhaven rack. Packaged wonderfully, shipped quickly, and built with pride!

    Perfection

I stack atleast two chords per season for use in my wood stove, my primary heat source for my home. This year I decided to bye the Woodhave seasoning racks to get my wood up of the ground and to insure a better seasoned wood for next
winter. I own three eight foot racks and a five footer all with covers. The racks are exceptional and worth every penny. No more tarps and spiders for me.

Wow that's a pile there! I'm glad you chose us to help out with your wood organization.

Thanks for sharing your photos with us too, our employees always get a kick out of seeing these reviews!

Please let us know if you need anything in the future and cheers to being spider free!

Good rack, could be great with just a couple of tweaks

I bought two of these so we can hold a full cord and I have a couple of suggestions, nothing which would stop me from buying again in the future.

-Secure the cover in the box. When cutting it open at the end there was a danger of hitting the canvas cover.
-Deburr the holes on the inside of the tubes before powder coating. It was sometimes hard to feed the bolts through.
-The holes could also be drilled slightly oversized to allow easier feeding through the tubes. This may require the use of washers to allow for a proper spread of the pressure from the bolts so you don't have to worry about shear through of the bolts.
-Instead of the middle support of the bottom tubes as an L bracket make it into a one piece U bracket. This would cut down on the number of parts and potentially provide a wider base of the bracket to widen the support to decrease the ground pressure (slightly) and keep it from sinking in soft ground.
-With the weight of wood and the cover on the rack the weak point in the design of the rack would appear to be the joint between the upright poles and the bottom tubes. A simple triangle shaped sheet metal bracket between the two would allow for greater spread of the forces.

    Hope this helps

    Hey Michael,

Well first of all thanks for taking the time to give us this very honest and valuable feed back. I can't say that we've ever had someone take this kind of time to review our racks like this in a long time. I think you make some valid points! I'll forward this along and see what we can come up with. I think the 'U' shaped bracket makes a lot of sense. It might come down to getting the holes and bends to match up 100% every time that kept us from doing that in the first place.

But please let us know if you need anything in the future! Thanks for choosing us and choosing to help us make the best product we can!

    • Do We Sell Firewood?

No, we do not offer firewood at the moment. You will want to search for a local supplier for deliveries.

    • How Long Do The Covers Last?

Given that the covers are made out of material they will most likely need to be replaced every 2 to 5 years depending on your preference. With that said, we do try to provide the best long lasting covers.

    • How Do I Know If I need A Full Cover?

Full covers work great for areas that receive a considerable amount of rain or snowfall. We strongly suggest that only cured or seasoned wood be put inside a full cover. Do not put freshly cut wood in a full cover for drying purposes.

    • How Much Firewood Will Fit In A Rack?

This all depends on how long your firewood is cut. We base our cord volume on 24" long wood cuts. Some firewood dealers supply logs shorter than 24". This information is valuable to you and your supplier when ordering your next load of firewood.

    • Do I Need Support Bases?

Our bases are designed to do a number of things. First they are made to keep your firewood rack from sinking into the dirt and mud to prevent rusting. If you have a nice deck or finished concrete they can come in handy to keep the rack from any potential damage. Just depends on preference and situation.
